We are so 'eggcited' about our annual Easter Showcase coming up in March!
The Showcase is the beginning of the path for all gymnasts. The competition has been designed to build strength, flexibility and focuses on root skills. Whether a gymnast chooses competitive gymnastics or the Recreational Programme path, the Showcase will assist in developing a well-prepared gymnast as they move forward. Form, execution and shapes are the primary focus of this event.
Gymnasts compete on Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor in competition. In the British Gymnastics National Development Plan they also have to work on a fifth piece called Range and Conditioning. Only a few select gymnasts are put forward for grades each year from our club. Grades demands an extremely high standard in all set moves, as well as the ability to show that the gymnast has full flexibility and strength.
We have introduced the Grades to our Recreational Programme to allow children to showcase their flexibility and strength and to provide more competitive opportunities.
Gymnasts can achieve a 'Working At', 'Working Above' or 'Working Beyond' in their grade, as well as win medals.
Gymnasts in our Stage 1 - 3 Recreational Programme will compete a bar routine and a Range & Conditioning routine.
The competition will also act as a selection event for our Academy Squad Gymnastics for North West Pre-Novice, Novice, Intermediate and Advanced upcoming competition.
